Business Intelligence and KPIs

A key performance indicator (KPI) is a measure of performance. Such measures are commonly used to help an organization define and evaluate how successful it is, typically in terms of making progress towards its long-term organizational goals. KPIs can be specified by answering the question, "What is really important to different stakeholders?", and are then tied to an organization's strategy using techniques such as the Balance Scorecard.
HIT 2015, using Microsoft’s Business Intelligence suite of systems, creates and monitors all KPIs for all levels of Healthcare management and delivery, and presents them in real-time via online dashboards. In this way, all authorized staff can see each day – or hour – their performance toward organizational goals.
BI “What if” Analysis. The Health IT 2015 suite provides a cohesive, integrated set of servers, tools and delivery mechanisms designed to work together. Additional significant functionality is included in the SQL Server 2008 database engine itself, without requiring further licensing (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS). Using this engine, CFOs, analysts and top management can quickly “slice and dice” data in minutes to answer a question.
