EHR Services for Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners

Our focus is to assist clinicians (physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners) who furnish primary-care services. We work with both individual and small group practices (fewer than 10 clinicians with prescriptive privileges). As the official agent to NTREC, we assist these clinicians in four ways:
- Selecting a certified EHR product that offers best value for the providers’ needs. If not already chosen, we provide factual comparison of certified EHRs and help facilitate the decision process of the physician group. If needed, we can coordinate demos of products, and guides for what to be looking for in each product.
- Achieving effective implementation of a certified EHR product;
- Choosing the appropriate EMR. We review the physician practice, take them through a decision process (if necessary), and all other required tasks to execute an EMR contract
- EMR Implementation Support. Using a “best practices” approach, we review the physician(s) implementation plan and recommend improvements. The plan is generally driven by the EMR vendor, and we suggest sequencing, timing and project management techniques to increase success.
- Observing and complying with applicable legal, regulatory, professional and ethical requirements to protect the integrity, privacy and security of patients’ health information.
- Enhancing clinical and administrative workflows to optimally leverage an EHR system’s potential to improve quality and value of care, including patient experience as well as outcome of care;
- Demonstrating Meaningful Use. We step the physician through each of the core and optional requirements, and recommend a course of action. We then monitor and report progress into the CMS/ONC SaleForce reporting system.
- Applying for and Speeding Funds. Once MU is demonstrated, we work directly with the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) of the Health Information Technology to get your first payment. We are there to help speed the process and represent you to the ONC.
